Kung Fu is a general word for the hundreds of varying ancient fighting styles of Chinese martial arts.

A common geographic difference between the Kung Fu styles is that northern fighting styles focus mainly on kicking, acrobatics and footwork while the southern styles mostly feature arm techniques, low stable stances and short strong movements.

One popular but aggressive close distance Wushu fighting style is Wing Chun Kung Fu. The martial art style of Wing Chun was developed in the 18th century by a Southern Shaolin female monk called Ng Moi.

She taught Kung Fu to a young beautiful nearby teenage daughter called Yim Wing Chun – who had caught unwanted attention of a local persistent Kung Fu practicing warlord admirer.
